Dog Daycare Wrangler

Tailored Pet Services · Everett, WA · 3 wk ago
On-siteEducation$23–$25/hrFull-time

Four-Legged Fun Zone in Everett, WA is seeking an experienced Dog Daycare Wrangler to lead safe, structured off-leash playgroups. This is not an entry-level position; we're looking for a proven professional who can confidently assess dog personalities, create balanced playgroups, and manage group dynamics independently while providing exceptional care and client service.

Why You'll Love Working at Four-Legged Fun Zone

  • Quality Over Quantity: We cap our playgroups at 15 dogs per handler so experienced handlers have the time to actively manage behavior.
  • Professional Autonomy: We hire experienced handlers to make decisions—not simply follow directions. Your observations, judgment, and behavior management skills are trusted and valued.
  • Predictable Schedule & Reliable Paycheck: Consistent hours with no evenings, weekends, on-call shifts, or last-minute schedule changes.
  • Respect for Your Personal Time: When you're off the clock, you're off the clock. We don't contact employees with work calls, texts, or requests to cover shifts outside their scheduled work hours.
  • Bring Your Dog to Work: Eligible employees may bring their well-socialized dog to work, subject to compatibility and our evaluation process.
  • A Place to Recharge: Enjoy a dedicated break room where you can step away from the dogs and recharge during your lunch break.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead safe, structured off-leash playgroups.
  • Assess dog personalities and place dogs into appropriate playgroups.
  • Read canine body language and intervene before conflicts escalate.

  • Communicate professionally with clients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of professional dog daycare experience within the past 3 years managing off-leash groups independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to create balanced playgroups and adjust placements based on behavior.
  • Strong understanding of canine body language and group management.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Able to stand and walk for 6–8 hours, lift up to 100 pounds when necessary, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Live within 30 minutes of our facility and consistently arrive on time.

Pay

Starting pay: $23–$25/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Performance bonuses available based on demonstrated leadership, independent playgroup management, and overall contribution. Opportunities for additional compensation as responsibilities grow.
