Location: Jacksonville, FL (On-site) Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 Benefits: 17 PTO Days and 11 Paid Holidays Position Summary The Documentation Specialist will support the Navy Drug Screening Laboratory (NDSL) by managing laboratory records, reviewing chain of custody documentation, maintaining compliance with operating procedures, and responding to customer inquiries. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information in a secure environment. Key Responsibilities Review and enter chain of custody information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).Audit laboratory batch records and documentation for completeness and compliance.Maintain, file, retrieve, and securely dispose of records in accordance with established procedures.Track and respond to inquiries from military units, legal authorities, attorneys, and other authorized customers.Prepare documentation packages and professional correspondence for external requests.Maintain records of all customer inquiries and responses.Comply with all NDSL safety, security, and confidentiality requirements. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience in administrative support, records management, document control, laboratory support, or a related field.Strong organizational, communication, and data entry skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems.
