About the Role

Ensure compliance by supporting the patient’s perspective and protecting patient rights.

Responsibilities

  • Review all discharged patient records daily for completeness and to meet regulatory standards.
  • Perform data abstraction and analysis to meet specific requirements by various payers and regulatory bodies.
  • Collect and present data in a useful format to drive facility performance improvement initiatives.
  • Attend performance improvement meetings, participate in projects, and provide support in meeting routine regulatory goals.
  • Assist the department director in routine departmental assignments and assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams on patient safety and quality of care issues.
  • Participate in the risk management process and quality of care initiatives.
  • Participate in developing quality improvement plans and goals for the facility, and support the implementation process to achieve performance goals.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Acknowledge and work to resolve complaints when patient needs are not met.
  • Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in health services preferred.
