About the Role
Ensure compliance by supporting the patient’s perspective and protecting patient rights.
Responsibilities
- Review all discharged patient records daily for completeness and to meet regulatory standards.
- Perform data abstraction and analysis to meet specific requirements by various payers and regulatory bodies.
- Collect and present data in a useful format to drive facility performance improvement initiatives.
- Attend performance improvement meetings, participate in projects, and provide support in meeting routine regulatory goals.
- Assist the department director in routine departmental assignments and assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with clinical teams on patient safety and quality of care issues.
- Participate in the risk management process and quality of care initiatives.
- Participate in developing quality improvement plans and goals for the facility, and support the implementation process to achieve performance goals.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
- Acknowledge and work to resolve complaints when patient needs are not met.
- Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in health services preferred.
