About the role

A Documentation Engineer (Project Information Specialist) is needed to work on transportation infrastructure projects in Chicago, IL. The role involves managing and organizing company and project documents, utilizing enterprise content management systems, and generating reports.

Responsibilities

  • Care and handling of enterprise-wide company and project documents
  • Electronic records management, distribution, classification, and retention
  • Utilizing tools and systems for effective and proactive project and company information management
  • Resolving problems using advanced techniques and procedures
  • Maintaining and organizing engineering documentation on an enterprise content management system
  • Generating reports related to engineering documentation
  • Leading departmental processes as assigned by management
  • Orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of lower-level employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction, including 3 years as an Office Engineer
  • IDOT Documentation Certification for Contract Quantities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered
  • Good writing and communication skills required

Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $88,000 to $110,000 per year, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance is not offered, and sponsorship is not available for this role.

Schedule

On-site work is required.
