Document Specialist
About the Role
The Document Specialist will perform a variety of general legal support tasks to ensure efficient document management and compliance with client standards.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve and append media documents from external clients to the firm’s System of Record.
- Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documents needed for legal action and escalate to client services if clients violate SLA.
- Review, analyze, and organize legal documents in a uniform manner for appending to corresponding files.
- Perform data entry and documentation in the system of record as needed.
- Review client SOPs to maintain accuracy and compliance with client standards.
- Handle scanning, photocopying, collating, and faxing tasks.
- Work under strict deadlines with high accuracy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Typing and keyboarding experience with 50+ WPM.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic knowledge of the legal process and legal documents is helpful.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Stable work history.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Must pass a background check, credit check, education check, and drug screen.
