Maintained and Implemented
- Maintains and implements OSHA required written programs addressing employee safety and trains employees on safety and health requirements.
- Audits workplace conditions to ensure regulatory compliance by identifying hazards, proper use of safety equipment, and unsafe work practices and institute controls to abate violations.
- Maintains all safety training and inspection documents as evidence of compliance.
Investigation and Support
- Maintains all safety training and inspection documents as evidence of compliance.
- Assists with the investigation of accidents and injuries, assisting development and follow-up of corrective action plans, and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
- Supports Department Safety personnel with the preparation and presentation of meeting materials and associated reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- PREFERRED: Associated degree in safety related field or at least 5 years of combined education and experience in a safety related field in a Manufacturing or industrial Environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and EPA state regulation/laws.
- Experience with developing training materials, facilitating training sessions, data collection and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Excel running and creating functions, pivot tables and charts.

- The noise level in the work environment is loud in certain areas of the facility.
