Document and Vendor Management Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support daily operational processes related to project releases and Custom Pull List (CPL) file management.
  • Review and identify all inbound files including medical records, invoices, and other miscellaneous documents, ensuring all documents are managed and routed supporting HEDIS® data collection efforts.
  • In this environment, productivity expectations must be maintained by remaining attentive and effectively working all available inventory.
  • This role ensures the timely execution of release activities, accurate tracking, and effective communication with internal team and external vendors.

  • Required Qualifications

    • A High School Diploma / GED
    • Must be 18 years of age OR older
    • 5+ years of experience in Health Information Management Department
    • Experience with Computers and Windows based programs including Microsoft Excel (view, sort, create and filter), Microsoft Word and Outlook
    • Ability to work full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules within our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to extend hours and work occasional overtime or weekends as needed

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with structured environments involving ticketing, tracking, and compliance steps
    • Experience in medical record scanning and indexing
    • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)
    • Telecommuting Requirements

      • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure
      • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
      • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
