This role is intended for full-time graduate students enrolled in a PhD program. Doctoral students receive a fellowship award, including a stipend, as financial support for their graduate studies.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments relevant to the student's thesis research project, following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical and computational tools
- Prepare and present research findings at lab meetings, departmental seminars, and conferences
- Assist with manuscript preparation for publication in peer-reviewed journals, poster presentations, and grant applications
- Collaborate with faculty researchers, postdoctoral trainees, and other students on research project design and execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a biomedical or basic science area of study
- Accepted into or enrolled in a PhD biomedical or basic science program within the Jefferson College of Life Sciences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs

- Frequent keyboard use
