About the role
The Litigation Docketing Specialist will provide docketing coverage for nationally located offices in a timely and accurate fashion. This position is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Monitor office specific inboxes for receipt of docketing entries and coordinate with those who send entries as needed.
- Review litigation and business filings to determine deadlines.
- Enter and update docket entries.
- Produce various docket reports.
- Troubleshoot docket concerns and issues.
- Provide ongoing information and technical support to attorneys, legal staff and administrative staff throughout the firm concerning the specific policies and general mechanics relating to the docketing process.
- Provide backup assistance to Litigation Docketing Supervisor as needed.
Requirements
- Absorb and manage multiple details and prioritize tasks.
- Function effectively as a team while maintaining accuracy of detail.
- Interact with all levels of firm personnel with professionalism.
- Work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Accurately type 55 wpm, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and have strong command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, and knowledge of Firm's form and style.
- Have functional knowledge of standard MS Office applications.
- Have experience with docketing software such as CompuLaw and CourtAlert.
- Have proficiencies in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and between 2 and 4 years of docketing or relevant legal support or database experience, or equivalent.
- Experience in a law firm preferred.
