Dock Coordinator

About the Role

This position is responsible for driving the warehouse personnel to ensure the most efficient and timely response to all requests from production and other departments of the company. Ensure that company policy and procedure are being followed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work with employees on each shift rotation to solve problems and create opportunities for success.
• Lead the forklift operators in the efficient receiving, storage and distribution of all supplies, products and raw materials.
• Assist in set up and control of FEFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials to the various departments of the company as requested.
• Monitors workflow between inbound and outbound loads and adjusts staffing accordingly to ensure loads are handled in a timely manner.
• Models load and paperwork handling best practices.
• Communicate with Front Office team on driving workload for the warehouse.
• Responsible to keep calendar up to date.
• Hold teams accountable for scanning and tagging products.
• Ensures timely reporting to management of all incidences that would impact food safety and personnel safety.
• Serves as a liaison between DC staff teams to facilitate streamlined communication and minimize load delays.
• Assist in moving and storing of product as needed.
• Assist in staging and preparation of documentation for product and material being picked up or shipped.
• Drives process improvement initiatives aimed at gaining efficiencies throughout the DC's.
• Creates SOPs as needed to ensure consistent methods used by all Forklift Operators.
• Provide inventory for forklift operators when needed or when requested.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer.
• Communicate with all leads and supervisors with an update at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
• Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret in English.
• Ability to work within warehouse management system and scanning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records with math and science skills.
• 3+ years Warehouse/Forklift experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
• Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations.
• Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals.
• Forklift certification.

Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials. Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold. The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor. Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Regular standing and sitting for extended periods of time on hard surfaces.
• Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception.
• Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands to finger, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors.
• Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.

Pay & Schedule

• Status: Full Time Day Shift [or Full Time Night Shift].
• Hours: 12-hour shift - 6a-6p [or 6p-6a].
• Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!).
• Compensation: $24.00 - $25.50 per hour depending on experience. Plus, a $2.00 night shift differential if applicable.
• Night Shift Bonus: $750!
