Dock Coordinator
About the role
Cold Spring Brewing is a leading contract beverage producer with operations across the Southeast, Southwest, and Midwest. As a Dock Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Drive warehouse personnel to ensure efficient and timely responses to production and departmental needs.
- Lead forklift operators in receiving, storing, and distributing supplies, products, and raw materials.
- Manage FEFO Inventory System to maintain uninterrupted flow of products and materials.
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing to handle loads promptly.
- Communicate with the front office team regarding driving workload for the warehouse.
- Keep the calendar updated and hold teams accountable for scanning and tagging products.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents affecting food safety and personnel safety.
- Act as a liaison between DC staff teams to streamline communication and minimize delays.
- Assist in moving and storing product as needed.
- Aid in staging and preparing documentation for product and material pick-up or shipment.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Support forklift operators with inventory as needed.
- Communicate updates to supervisors at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality production standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret English.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- 3+ years of warehouse/forklift experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP regulations.
- Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and customer portals.
- Forklift certification.

Physical Requirements
- Regular bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and sitting for extended periods.
- Walking on sometimes slippery floors.
- Handling equipment and materials.
- Frequent exposure to loud noises and vibration.
Job Setting
The role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where employees may experience varying physical demands, including standing, walking, and handling equipment. The work environment can be noisy, and hearing protection is required. Additionally, due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions, including heat and cold. Employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor. Alcohol is an ingredient in products produced here, so specific positions, work schedules, and work environments may not include working around alcohol.
