Job Overview On Fairview's Home Medical Equipment (FHME) team, we strive to help each patient reach optimal independence, health, and comfort. The DME Service Coordinator - CPAP/BiPAP has direct responsibility for all aspects of the DME service delivery associated to Fairview Health Services operations. This position ensures: processes are in place to support exceptional customer experience, high quality therapeutic equipment is available and easy to understand and use, DME equipment and processes are effectively integrated into business and clinical operations, and all customers have an exceptional experience. This onsite position is based at our University Crossing location at 2200 University Ave in Saint Paul. It's a 1.0 FTE (80 hours over 2 weeks) commitment, day shift only, with no weekends! This role also provides back up coverage for Edina, Burnsville, Woodbury, Maplewood and Wyoming showrooms. On rare occassions Princeton and River Falls. Responsibilities Develops and coordinates care protocols and DME set-ups for Home Medical Equipment patients.Develops, implements, and manages inventory control process in collaboration with vendors and FV support services to ensure care plans are executed appropriately.Maintains and tracks inventoryEnsures inventory costs are in line with departmental budgetEnsures patient care needs are served in a timely mannerEffectively set-up equipment and deliver patient education.Educate patients on product information, use, and maintenance processesConfigure DME equipment and fit for appropriate accessoriesCoordinates equipment data management and analysisDevelops and implements processes to support patient care in alignment with DME compliance dataCollaborates with care team to ensure care plans are supported with timely and accurate informationProvides timely and accurate compliance information to providersFacilitates effective claim processing with DME aspects of care planProactively contact patients to ensure exceptional service and equipment complianceSupports patient insurance and/or financial securing processes as appropriateEnable accurate claim process by aligning billing processes with insurance requirementsPerforms other duties as assignedPartner and/or leader in quality improvement initiatives and community education eventsServes as technical expert in developing new servicesSupports operational service needs to ensure care deliveryAbility to train additional staff for coverage when neededCompletes weekly retail deposits following Fairview’s cash handling procedures Required Qualifications 2 years customer service experienceBasic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Preferred Qualifications Post High School education2 years in a direct patient care settingFitting DME/respiratory equipmentPolysomnography Technician (PSGT) and/or Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for DME Coordinator in sleep centers only Benefit Overview Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
