About the role

Join Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) as part of our laboratory team. This position operates on a variable schedule with 4-10 hour shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Schedule

10:30 AM – 9:00 PM; variable hours (4-10 hour shifts) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift.
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday.
• Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment.
• Data entry and answering phones.
• Process specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Plate specimens for microbiology testing.
• May perform initial phases of testing.
• Work alongside technologists assisting to produce patient results.
• Sort incoming specimens, prioritize, and immediately process STAT and other critical tests.
• Must be proficient in working with two computer systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or higher.
• Laboratory experience is desired.
• Good computer skills.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Must be available for scheduled vacation and emergency coverage as needed.
• Must be available to rotate weekend shifts.
