DLO Evening Shift Microbiology MLS/MLT I

About the role

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is located in Oklahoma City, OK. Shifts are from 4pm-2:30am, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
• Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday
• Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment
• Perform tests in microbiology and assist with specimen processing as needed
• Follow employer policies, work with fellow employees in a professional, productive manner, and perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Required Knowledge: General laboratory knowledge, including the ability to use computers. Must have knowledge of QA and QC. Previous experience in Microbiology or Molecular Biology preferred.
• Education Requirements: BS in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science/medical laboratory technology; Previously qualified as a technologist under 42 CFR 493.1489
• Credentials: ASCP or equivalent exam eligible within 1-3 years, MLT/MLS certification preferred

• Able to maintain a professional courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress
• Teamwork with fellow employees is a must
• Keyboard skills are important
• Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude
• Able to work 10 hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays
