DJBOSS: Specialist, Materials -Ordnance

Job Summary

Administers production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving of materials.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Checks parts and materials for damage and verifies quantity, part number, and serial number of shipped items.
• Records and prepares status reports of requested and received items.
• Performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field under general supervision.
• Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a secret clearance.
• Must have 3-5 years of experience in various Ordnance or Ammunition roles performed while assigned to Navy / Marine/Army or Air Force, munitions /ordnance organizations.
• Must demonstrate skills and ability to prioritize work.
• Must be capable of obtaining OPNAV/NAVSEA certifications.
• Must have previous assignments and recent work history supporting Navy BOS / Facility Support operations or contracts in austere or remote environments.
• Must be able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple interruptions/distractions.
• Must be willing and able to be licensed for explosive handling or equipment (if applicable).
• Must have excellent customer relations, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Process & Service improvement techniques and methodology desired.
