About the role
This role has primary responsibility for the overall performance of the division, across all aspects of homebuilding operations—including Land Acquisition, Entitlement, Development, Sales, Construction, Procurement, and Marketing. You will maximize business results by setting and achieving goals for key financial, operating, customer service, and employee engagement targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and achieve the strategic and annual operating plans of the division.
- Monitor relevant changes in the marketplace and position the division to capitalize on opportunities.
- Recommend long-range strategic and tactical plans for land acquisition and future communities based on market research and competitive data.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and manage division management to execute the company’s plans and objectives.
- Develop, implement, and manage customer satisfaction and quality programs to improve buyer acceptance and satisfaction ratings.
- Build an external, local network to ensure the success of the company’s strategic plan in the local market.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
- Excellent analytical and writing capabilities; ability to present ideas, concepts, and technical strategies to individuals and groups. Public speaking experience a plus.
- Minimum 10 or more years of strategic operations management experience in homebuilding.
- Strong management development and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead change management.
- Demonstrated personal credibility and trustworthiness.
