About the role
The Division of Pediatric Pain, Palliative and Integrative Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals is recruiting faculty to join our growing team at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the Adjunct, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence series. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient consultations in pain, palliative care, or integrative medicine
- Oversight of outpatient clinics dedicated to these services
- Participation in weekend and night call coverage
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree, with eligibility for medical licensure in California
- Demonstrated interest in pediatric pain, palliative care, and/or integrative medicine
- Commitment to excellence in medical education
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pain Medicine, Palliative Care, or Integrative Medicine
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across pediatric disciplines
- Experience teaching and supervising learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows
- Evidence of scholarly activity, program development, or quality improvement initiatives
Pay
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $114,100-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
