Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine – Cardiac Intensive Care Faculty (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, or In Residence Series)

About the role

The Division of Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals is recruiting for faculty positions focused on the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks in the Adjunct, Clinical X, Health Sciences Clinical, or In Residence series. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Position description

Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. Primary clinical responsibilities will be in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals San Francisco and Oakland campuses, with active participation in the Department’s mission of excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree and eligibility for a California medical license
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Pediatric Cardiology, or both (dual certification or eligibility)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced training or demonstrated experience in pediatric cardiac critical care
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience teaching and supervising learners
• Strong commitment to patient-centered, responsive care
• Dedication to advancing equitable, high-quality care in an academic setting

For positions that are 51% effort or more:

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $131,200-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

For positions that are 50% effort or less:

See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,700-$246,000.
