Division of General Pediatrics – Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, and In Residence Faculty Series
About the role
The Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals is recruiting full-time and part-time faculty at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks in the Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, and In Residence series. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the clinical care of patients at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses
- Teach and supervise learners in clinical settings
- Participate in research activities aligned with the Division's goals
- Engage in educational initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical education
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)
- Eligibility for or possession of a valid California medical license
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
- Demonstrated interest in clinical pediatrics and clinical education
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-residency clinical experience in general pediatrics (one year preferred, but not required)
- Collaborative experience across pediatric disciplines
- Experience teaching and supervising learners
- Strong commitment to patient-focused, responsive care
- Commitment to serving the patient populations of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals
- Dedication to advancing equitable, high-quality care in an academic setting
Pay
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $114,100-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
