About the role
The Division of Nephrology within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recruiting faculty positions at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor rank of the Adjunct, Clinical X, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, or In Residence faculty series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience.
Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Department’s mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Responsibilities
For positions that are 51% effort or more:
- Contribute to the Department’s mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
- Participate in clinical activities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses.
- Supervise residents and medical students in clinical settings.
- Engage in collaborative teamwork and pursue a career in academic pediatrics.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
- Contribute to the Department’s mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
- Participate in clinical activities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses.
- Engage in collaborative teamwork and pursue a career in academic pediatrics.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Medical degree and license
- Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics
- Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Nephrology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven abilities in collaborative teamwork
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in academic pediatrics
- Experience in supervising residents and medical students in clinical settings
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage across diverse forums
Qualifications
For positions that are 51% effort or more:
- Minimum base salary range for this position is $110,500-$333,700.
- Includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
- Salary range for this position is listed in Table 2.
- A reasonable estimate for this position is $78,900-$238,300.
