About the role
Nutrien Ag Solutions is the retail division of Nutrien, providing full-acre solutions through a network of trusted crop consultants at more than 2,000 locations in North America, South America, and Australia. This role leads a division within this network, driving efficiency, profitability, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of division daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Own division P&L, delivering on revenue, margin, and expense targets
- Drive sales growth across seed, fertilizer, and chemical shelves
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform strategy
- Ensure operational excellence across locations (inventory, logistics, asset utilization)
- Build strong relationships with growers and key stakeholders
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of branch managers
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Lead and sustain positive cultural change aligning teams to company values
- Build a strong talent pipeline and succession plan across the division
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all facilities
- Use data, analytics, and market intelligence to make informed decisions
- Manage budget process and allocation for the division
- Develop acquisition and expansion strategies
- Extensive travel by vehicle required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Economics or related business/technical degree required
- 5+ years of experience in the agriculture industry
- 3+ years of management experience including cost control, talent development, and value-add sales
- Understanding of relevant Federal and State regulations
- Experience with financial statements; previous full P&L responsibility preferred
- Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry, including the application of agricultural chemicals and fertilizers
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, and retain employees
- Working knowledge of computers and various software packages used in business applications
Pay
The salary range for this role in California is between $140,000 and $185,000. Actual salary may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons. This role is also eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan with discretionary payouts reflecting company and employee performance.
