Division Manager, FPG
About the role
This leader has operational accountability and oversight, directing the daily activities of multiple practice sites. Responsibilities include human resources, customer service and satisfaction, financial management, medical business information systems, practice profile analysis, and compliance with regulatory bodies. The role involves setting the tone for positive leadership, modeling behavior, and ensuring teamwork, tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully to support departmental and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or relevant work experience in healthcare or business administration in a leadership role can be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the required degree.
- Five (5) years of medical practice management experience in a clinical group setting of six or more providers or multiple sites, including management responsibility for all operational areas, such as finance.
- Three (3) years of experience in a hospital-based setting of three or more providers.
- Experience in mentoring or precepting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven financial acumen, including the ability to manage budget processes with minimal supervision, proactively explain budget and volume variances, and an understanding of common financial terms (e.g., accruals, average charge per visit, overhead rate, contractual).
- Proficiency in computer software programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, practice management software, EHR, and Outlook.
- Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Effective leadership skills and understanding of group processes, teamwork, and site/cost-center-based management.
- American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) certification.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solutions.
- Knowledge of third-party payers.
- Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
