About the role

The Division Head is responsible for leading all clinical care, research endeavors, educational efforts, advocacy, and administrative aspects of the Division's work. As the leader of the division, the Division Head serves a critical role in setting and executing the division's strategic goals in the clinical, research, education, and advocacy domains.

Responsibilities

  • Leading all clinical care, research endeavors, educational efforts, advocacy, and administrative aspects of the Division's work
  • Serving as the representative in interactions with Department leadership, Lurie Children’s Medical Group leadership, hospital administration, external groups and philanthropic donors
  • Oversight of divisional operational, philanthropic, and grant funding in partnership with the Executive Director and Division Administrator
  • Acting as the representative in interactions with Department leadership, Lurie Children’s Medical Group leadership, hospital administration, external groups and philanthropic donors

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership in clinical care, development of research, and/or administration
  • Strong clinical expertise, along with a proven track record of research within the field of Pediatric Cardiology
  • MD or MD/PhD, board-certification and fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology

Qualifications

  • Strategic, thoughtful leader with robust experience in an academic medical center setting
  • Interest in faculty and fellow mentorship

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is $380,499 - $616,354

Schedule

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until it is filled.
