Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at UNC Children’s is seeking an open-rank, open-track faculty member to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology. This role involves leading and expanding the division's clinical, educational, and research activities. The Division Chief oversees all aspects of pediatric and congenital cardiology services, including inpatient and outpatient care, advanced imaging, catheterization, and interventional procedures, as well as heart failure and transplant services. They also collaborate with other specialties to provide comprehensive care for children with complex cardiac conditions. This position is part of a larger initiative to enhance child health services within the UNC Health system and the state of North Carolina.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• MD, DO, or equivalent.
• Board certified in Pediatrics and sub-board certification in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Past or current leadership experience within an academic Pediatric Cardiology division.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

• Demonstrated experience providing and supervising clinical care for pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart disease.
• Strong leadership, effective interpersonal skills, team-building abilities, and clear communication.
