District Sales Manager (Medical Device), Lexington/Louisville, KY (Remote)

Responsible for achieving territory sales targets and overseeing all resources, including clinical support and field sales representatives. Reports directly to the Regional Sales Director (RSD).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business plans to identify opportunities within the current customer base and formulate sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Demonstrate competence in all areas of programming (HF, LF, etc.) and complex case coverage in the operating room.
  • Prospect new customers and drive lead follow-up.
  • Partner with clinical and associate sales team members to develop skills and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Position products and services effectively to existing and new clients in the region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to counter competitors.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key decision makers, customers, and their staff.
  • Train and educate customers on product merits and proper clinical usage through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Understand and confirm customers’ needs, handle objections, and gain commitment.
  • Manage asset and inventory effectively.
  • Initiate and evaluate corporate pricing agreements to ensure competitive product value.
  • Report on sales process, market conditions, and customer activities to sales leadership.
  • Utilize internal platforms to ensure flawless execution of product delivery to clients and patients.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute local educational and sales events to augment business and deliver sales goals.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, targeting specific customers to gain sales leads and promote products.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships within the company to maximize sales support and customer service.
  • Contribute to a strong team effort.
  • Recognize and understand competitive products, features, and strengths relative to the company’s offerings.
  • Provide a high level of service with patient outcomes as a top priority.
  • Travel daily within the assigned territory.
  • Adhere to company policies, codes of conduct (e.g., AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code), and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Represent the company professionally and uphold ethical business practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent years of experience may substitute for the degree.
  • 3+ years of medical sales experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record per company policy, and active vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, dependent on territory geography.
  • Operating room sales experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in previous sales roles, indicating high performance.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily work to meet regional requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High empathy and compassion for patients.

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to adjust focus.
