About the Role
Responsible for carrying out sales objectives, implementing sales and account strategies as set out by management, and achieving results in a matrix sales organization. Focus areas include discovery, development, and realization of project opportunities in your sales district, soliciting new customers/contractors to increase demand for products, and cultivating long-term relationships with key account decision makers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sales and account strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Develop and implement Key Account Plans for strategic accounts to exceed revenue retention/growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction expectations.
- Increase demand for company products by discovering, developing, and realizing project opportunities as represented in CRM; prospect new business partners and maintain a cycle of scheduled customer calls based on CRM segmentation strategy.
- Grow the customer/contractor database for your territory.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with key account decision makers and understand their organization’s structure and buying influences.
- Conduct sales calls and deliver professional presentations to cross-functional teams, architects, wholesale distributors, builders, developers, facility engineers, plant managers, code officials, educators, and contractors.
- Communicate the value proposition effectively to each constituent group to advance market growth.
- Own and manage the annual sales plan and strategic account plans to achieve market penetration across segments/territories for each product line.
- Work with local independent manufacturer’s representative agencies as directed by the Regional Sales Manager or Lead in support of the Residential Sales Management Team.
- Travel to provide ongoing training and support as needed.
- Prioritize and follow up on leads from trade shows or other sources.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure client deliveries are executed as agreed.
- Promote further adoption of EDI and VMI by distributors within the district and region.
- Maintain monthly sales reports and business metrics; identify business opportunities and report on trends and new products.
- Provide weekly reporting and updates to management, including field activity, sales, competitors, and forecasts.
- Track travel and incidental expenses; prepare and submit expense reports on time, ensuring expenses are within budget.
- Maintain, update, and utilize CRM/SAP Mobile Sales daily activity calendars to document opportunities, sales call activities, customer links, contractor rankings, and calendar updates.
- Attend meetings as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, and CRM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong listening, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proven relationship-building and strategic selling skills.
- Proven track record of business development, including effective sales call planning and execution; business acumen to meet revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Ability to interpret and forecast changes in customers’ buying patterns and product requirements.
- Ability to function autonomously or as a team player.
- Ability to identify market dynamics and implement competitive practices.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, profit margins, unit conversions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working from a home office.
- Ability to give presentations in front of various groups.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of product sales experience (required).
- College Degree (preferred).
- Valid and Active Driver’s License (required).
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Pay
Base salary: $92,000 to $120,000 USD annually, based on education, work experience, and geographic market.
Bonus: Eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, with potential awards based on company and individual performance.
