Responsibilities
The District Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful retail performance of their Dealers, as well as achieving company wholesale objectives. Key priorities include:
- Achievement of Retail and Wholesale objectives (allocation of Kia vehicles) monthly and annually (35%)
- Managing and directing all District Sales activities in accordance with KUS corporate standards and corporate/regional programs (35%)
- Consulting with dealers to ensure adequate market representation and market share (10%)
- Ensuring dealers maintain adequate Kia presence and represent the brand appropriately in the marketplace (10%)
- Recommending and consulting with dealers to ensure corrective actions are taken when dealers fail to meet sales, financial, and customer experience targets (10%)
Personally performed duties include managing vehicle inventory allocation, monitoring dealer customer experience, analyzing dealership sales and financial performance, and partnering with dealers to develop annual sales plans.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with a minimum of 2 years of OEM/Automotive retail and wholesale experience. Business consulting experience and parts and service experience are helpful.
- Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and cost management
- Ability to develop a business case and deliver to dealership management teams
- Ability to lead district-level meetings and deliver meaningful communications
- Retail dealership experience is a plus
Requirements
Frequent travel is required domestically (and may be internationally), with daily, weekly, and monthly dealer visits required. A valid Driver’s License and a responsible driving record are necessary, as well as the ability to work additional hours outside of normal business hours.
Skills
Strong presentation and negotiation skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong organization skills are required. Computer skills in a Windows-based environment are also necessary.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $89,936.24 - $121,409.23, with pay based on variables such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
