About the role
As District Manager in Cook Medical’s Urology division, you will sell diagnostic and therapeutic devices—with a focus on the BPH portfolio—to physicians, hospitals, and outpatient facilities across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The role is field-based (preferably Chicago or Minneapolis–Saint Paul) and requires overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business and expand existing business within the territory.
- Create, maintain, and execute an annual business plan.
- Meet and exceed projected sales goals.
- Participate in national, state, and regional sales exhibits.
- Maintain timely expense reports.
- Stay current on the managed health-care environment.
- Educate customers through conversations, presentations, in-services, and literature.
- Travel overnight as needed.
- Work and interact professionally at all levels of the global organization.
- Adhere strictly to safety requirements.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and company quality/quantity standards.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Solve problems independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically capable of operating a motor vehicle on a regular basis, hold a valid driver’s license, and be in good legal standing to drive.
- Frequently lift product sample cases weighing 20–50 lbs.
- Occasionally stand for extended periods.
- Sit for extended periods and use close visual acuity for computer work.
- Occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Work under general office environmental conditions.
Pay
Base salary range: $92,000–$110,000, depending on qualifications, education, experience, and location. Eligible for a variable bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
