About the role

As District Manager in Cook Medical’s Urology division, you will sell diagnostic and therapeutic devices—with a focus on the BPH portfolio—to physicians, hospitals, and outpatient facilities across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The role is field-based (preferably Chicago or Minneapolis–Saint Paul) and requires overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and expand existing business within the territory.
  • Create, maintain, and execute an annual business plan.
  • Meet and exceed projected sales goals.
  • Participate in national, state, and regional sales exhibits.
  • Maintain timely expense reports.
  • Stay current on the managed health-care environment.
  • Educate customers through conversations, presentations, in-services, and literature.
  • Travel overnight as needed.
  • Work and interact professionally at all levels of the global organization.
  • Adhere strictly to safety requirements.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance and company quality/quantity standards.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Solve problems independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically capable of operating a motor vehicle on a regular basis, hold a valid driver’s license, and be in good legal standing to drive.
  • Frequently lift product sample cases weighing 20–50 lbs.
  • Occasionally stand for extended periods.
  • Sit for extended periods and use close visual acuity for computer work.
  • Occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Work under general office environmental conditions.

Pay

Base salary range: $92,000–$110,000, depending on qualifications, education, experience, and location. Eligible for a variable bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
