Responsibilities

  • Continual identification of profitable sales opportunities
  • Achieve and maintain a high level of responsiveness and follow-up to customer needs
  • Formulate a strategic plan to produce forecasted sales revenue in assigned territory
  • Demonstrate care and effective usage of company property and tools
  • Meet individual sales forecast and operate within established travel and expense budget
  • Manage all expenses within budget and submit expense reports promptly per policy
  • Work with architects, designers, flooring contractors, end users, contractors, etc. to select appropriate products for their projects
  • Travel daily throughout assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new customers
  • Manage project from inception to completion, including identifying opportunity, product selection, specification, order placement, and delivery coordination
  • Update CRM database with all pertinent customer, project, product, and pricing information
  • Follow up on leads from various sources and establish daily sales calls
  • Provide superior customer service and follow through, including site visits, installation assistance, claims management, and problem solving
  • Network through industry associations, social events, and planned company events
  • Develop proposals by understanding market pricing strategies and available purchase vehicles
  • Provide market updates for Leadership, including competitive activity, product trends, and progress toward KPIs
  • Review daily order entry, confirming customer and segment data is correct, and follow through to ensure shipments occur within clients' expected requirements
  • Prepare regionalized recommended pricing requirements and manage quality issues with customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales-related experience required
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and experience with CRM – Dynamics is preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Commercial flooring experience preferred, or commercial interiors or finishes
