About the role
Oversee operations of 18-20 store units and various pop-up retail locations. Lead a District team to achieve sales and profit goals by providing great customer service and delivering operational excellence. Source, select, coach, and develop a high-performance team to deliver the annual business plan while identifying regional growth opportunities. Drive in-store execution through leadership of the General Managers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure stores comply with company standards; review store environments for excellence in customer service, product quality, and cleanliness/food safety.
- Develop a high-performance management team through selection, training, coaching, and performance management, including conducting performance appraisals for General Managers.
- Build a strong bench of talent through succession planning and oversee the development of all store staff.
- Build commitment in others, set clear expectations, and hold teams accountable for delivering results.
- Communicate and support the values of the organization.
- Evaluate daily operations, review and analyze store reports, and make recommendations to improve productivity, effectiveness, and profitability.
- Analyze and share competitive strategies and develop implementation plans.
- Research the marketplace to identify Alternate Distribution opportunities.
- Partner with the Supply Chain team to ensure proper distribution of products.
- Lead planning and forecasting for the District.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in multi-unit management.
- Demonstrated record of excellent customer service, sales building, and quality/safety standards.
- Proven experience selecting, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Extensive understanding of P&L statements, budgeting, and controllable costs.
- Ability to delegate and follow up.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into practical initiatives and actions.
- Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of residence and maintains a good driving record.
- Maintains a specified minimum level of automobile insurance coverage and provides proof of same.
Working Conditions
Requires extensive travel, typically involving overnight stays, by car and by air.
