District Manager IV
About the role
The District Manager 4 is responsible and accountable for leading and directing multiple assigned branch operations to achieve ongoing service revenue growth, profitability, productivity, quality, and service levels. This position provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management of a team of field service technicians, administrative staff, and lower-level supervisory staff. The role ensures efficient use of an assigned budget while meeting service revenue targets through collaboration with Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
Responsibilities include oversight of a $10.1M budget, 2-3 cost centers, and 10-15 direct reports, with a span of control between 25-55 employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage a highly technical field service team
- Oversee installations, preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and sales support for new systems
- Establish and grow customer relationships
- Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed financial metrics and customer satisfaction results
- Focus on talent development, increasing employee retention, and engagement levels
- Manage general business operations for assigned branches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Marketing) to drive service revenue growth
- Address other responsibilities or special projects as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience and previous management experience
- Experience with sales strategy and customer development
- Knowledge of an Annual Operating Plan/Long Range Plan
- Experience managing a Profit & Loss statement, cost control, inventory management, and customer-facing metrics (KPIs)
- Service/product knowledge for commercial food equipment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Position/location-dependent certificates and licenses
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may:

- Climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder
- Walk extensively (3-5 miles/day)
- Drive extensively (5-6 hours/day)

- Work in tight and confined spaces

- Operate machinery and/or power tools
Working Conditions:
- Office facilities and customer facilities (including commercial kitchens)
- Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, or dirty conditions may occur
- Travel requirement up to 50% of the time
- Flexible schedule to meet critical deadlines, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended hours
