About the Role
The District Manager will drive profitable sales growth across a geographic region of stores, with full accountability for the district’s financial results. This role focuses on leading and developing store management teams to achieve district, regional, and company goals.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a diverse, high-performing store management team through selection, development, and motivation.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and direction to meet district and regional goals.
- Communicate business and financial objectives effectively.
- Analyze district performance and deliver feedback to the regional director.
- Develop and execute a district sales strategy to ensure profitable growth.
- Lead store teams to meet sales and payroll budgets through proper execution.
- Foster a selling culture and ensure a positive customer experience that exceeds expectations.
- Articulate and execute brand visual standards consistently.
- Partner with Loss Prevention to adhere to policies and proactively address shrink trends.
- Cultivate open communication and drive performance management and associate development.
- Represent the company professionally and positively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of multi-unit retail experience required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Skills
- Ability to create competitive and innovative strategies and plans.
- Proven track record of selecting high-performing talent and developing compelling development plans.
- Strong presentation skills for managers, customers, and the public.
- Ability to interpret moderately complex financial reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to internal applications.
- Experience facilitating and presenting programs, processes, and concepts to groups.
- Broad knowledge of the retail landscape and ability to identify trends.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams or organizations.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
