District Manager

As a MyEyeDr. District Manager you will be responsible for overseeing business operations and patient service throughout all offices within your assigned district. The District Manager provides the tools, support, and leadership necessary to deliver incremental revenue improvements; maximum office contributions through control of labor costs and COGS; and a first-class patient experience. Responsibilities
- Drive patient loyalty and patient satisfaction to deliver maximum value:
- Ensure offices deliver customer service that exceeds patient expectations.
- Demand proactive, professional resolution of patient feedback concerns.
- Monitor and react to Patient Loyalty results; align teams to retain patients long-term.
- Respond urgently to any examples of inadequate service.
- Reward and recognize great examples of service within the district.
- Work with the Customer Service Department to resolve outstanding patient concerns.
- Drive incremental revenue improvements:
- Execute a plan to grow office revenues by maximizing each appointment, working closely with General Managers and the Regional Manager.
- Provide guidance and support to locations to achieve sales and patient service goals, measured through KPIs.
- Reinforce in-office behaviors that drive KPI performance and long-term patient loyalty.
- Take appropriate actions to address office performance that detracts from revenue growth.
- Control expenses to maximize office contributions:
- Use the P&L (profit and loss statement) to make smart business decisions and analyze trends.
- Confirm office work schedules match budgetary expectations and patient service needs.
- Proactively plan labor allocations to maximize revenue; react to business trends to reallocate resources.
- Control payroll costs by monitoring reports and reviewing actual payroll results.
- Work with the Professional Services team to ensure ODs provide maximum value and service to patients.
- Ensure ODs understand COGS impact on profitability and support office efforts to improve profitability.
- Ensure proper pricing and effective selling techniques maximize revenue while controlling cost of goods (COGs).
- Ensure all locations comply with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct monthly reporting and auditing of each office’s performance; implement corrective action plans for non-compliance.
- Complete District Manager monthly audits and provide updates to the Director of Retail Operations.
- Report associate concerns or questions to ensure timely resolution.
- Follow up on matters until completed or closed.
- Coordinate personnel-related matters (recruiting, disciplinary actions, terminations) with HR and location General Managers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of retail management experience, at least one year in a high-performance, high-volume environment (optical experience preferred; multi-unit management preferred).
- Undergraduate degree in business or related field strongly preferred; additional related work experience can substitute for a formal degree.
- Demonstrated success in providing direction and tactical support to achieve business results.
- Experience developing and mentoring sales and professional staff to maximize their potential.
- Ability to understand and control confidential information with absolute discretion.
- Strong ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to make abrupt changes or decisions as needed.
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
