About the Role
As a District Sales Manager, you are accountable for hiring and developing a team of sales professionals and growing the area. Kimball Midwest is a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operations products with over 100 years of family-owned operation, offering over 55,000 products and growing from $1 million in sales in 1983 to more than $500 million today.
Responsibilities
- Attract various levels of sales talent to the organization to build a team of successful individuals.
- Develop sales associates to increase their knowledge, experience, and earnings year after year.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers in a designated territory to understand their business needs and identify areas of opportunity.
- Efficiently plan your week in advance to prioritize customer stops and territory growth, following a bottom-up growth approach.
- Meet or exceed sales quotas by following the company's proven sales programs and processes learned in training workshops, contributing to the company goal of doubling sales every five years.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales activities by inputting information into company systems and reporting cost-savings ability back to customers.
Requirements
- Execution of an Employment Agreement and/or revised Employment Agreement exhibit(s), provided for review prior to execution.
- 2-4 years of experience in hiring, training, and/or managing individuals and teams.
- Ability to travel to potential or actual customer and associate locations, as well as Company meetings within the assigned geographic area, while maintaining required insurance coverage minimums.

- 1st year compensation plans range from $70,000-$100,000 with a salary and bonus structure.
