About the role
This role is for Kidde Commercial. The District Manager will support various channel management and distribution activities, providing sales expertise and resources to drive Channel Partner growth and exceed target sales volume goals. You will develop and promote strong product and application knowledge for Channel Partners, A&E Firms, GC/ECs, and End User customers. Success will be measured by the overall growth and performance of assigned Channel Partners.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify prospective customers for distribution and channel management teams, developing professional relationships to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products/services.
- Conduct business development activities within defined customer segments to support the business strategy.
- Identify bid opportunities, participate in bid response preparation, and negotiate with potential customers.
- Develop new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.
- Support and develop prospective projects with assigned customers and present them to the sales team.
- Build personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.
- Attend trade shows and present new products to increase organizational visibility.
- Prepare workshops for assigned customers.
Weekly Responsibilities
- Update Salesforce with the current status of all existing Accounts, Leads, and Opportunities.
- Forecast and schedule revenue for a three to six-month outlook using known Opportunities.
- Attend weekly regional conference calls and provide current business updates to the Regional Director.
- Complete the Monthly Business Review report the first week of each month as scheduled.
- Follow up on highly important issues, requests for data, etc.
- Maintain contact with Channel Partners for forecast updates and post results in Salesforce on the 1st and 15th of each month.
- Travel as necessary for customer support, training, presentations, and local trade shows.
- Work with Channel Partners to close available projects, calling on consulting engineers, contractors, and end users.
Monthly Responsibilities
- Plan events, trade shows, distribution counter days, calendar updates, and travel schedules.
- File expense reports at least twice a month.
- Forecast and review customer sales data via the forecast report tool.
- Monitor progress on special regional and company-assigned projects.
- Maintain updates on current products and promotions.
- Visit electrical and general contractors for market information and Channel Partner feedback.
Quarterly Responsibilities
- Provide quarterly forecast outlook/updates.
- Complete required online quarterly ethics training and certifications.
- Track key objectives such as sales incentives and new products.
- Evaluate Channel Partner progress against assigned quotas and provide quarterly review letters.
Half-Year Responsibilities
- Conduct Channel Partner reviews and territory updates.
Full-Year Responsibilities
- Establish customer evaluations and quota assignments for the upcoming year.
- Complete customer additions and cancellations as necessary.
- Evaluate the current year’s business plan and modify for the upcoming year.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or Industry Certifications.
- 5+ years of experience selling in the Fire Alarm Industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, communication skills, and a high energy level.
- NICET levels 1-4 preferred.
- Product and code knowledge with application expertise.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Technical savvy and ability to present effectively.
- Willingness to work out of a virtual office.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Pay
Base Salary Rate: $85,336.00 - $100,395.00.
