About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical District Inventory Auditor to maintain the integrity of our inventory systems and ensure operational excellence across the organization. This role involves counting physical inventories, generating audit reports, reconciling data, and collaborating with departments to reduce inventory errors.
Responsibilities
- Perform front-line accounting review at the store level during retail inventory audits.
- Count all physical inventories and reconcile computer data with physical counts.
- Generate department audit reports and report on errors found.
- Collaborate with District Managers and Store Managers to identify and resolve store issues.
- Develop a preliminary audit schedule for the district, including neighboring store rotation.
- Assist Store Managers with invoice concerns, store organization, price adjustments, and system abnormalities.
- Conduct visual checklists at each store detailing store conditions, maintenance issues, safety concerns, marketing promotions, and loss prevention awareness.
- Complete 16-20 retail inventory audits monthly, including lottery, importing data to computers, processing audit paperwork, printing reports, and uploading/scan supporting documentation.
- Achieve established average per hour (APH) counting goals while ensuring accuracy and integrity of data collected.
- Relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in writing, to build cooperation and partnerships.
- Take initiative to explore and suggest new approaches to improve job performance and organizational effectiveness.
- Maintain a proactive attitude, demonstrate urgency, and deliver high-quality output.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Proficient in computer operations, including Microsoft Office and Open Office applications.
- Ability to work in various environments with potential exposure to cold and heat.
- Frequent bending, counting on knees, and moving product up to 25 lbs.
- Repetitive motions requiring the use of both wrists and hands with counting machines.
- Reliable transportation for travel, including occasional overnight stays, to perform audits throughout the assigned market.
Pay
$20.00 per hour.
