The Rahway Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support the district's mission of providing high-quality education and services to all students.
About the role
This is a 10-month position that plays a vital part in supporting the district's educational goals.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in delivering instruction
- Assist with the organization and management of classroom activities
- Provide academic assistance to students as needed
- Participate in planning and implementing special projects and activities
- Assist with the supervision of students during breaks and transitions
Requirements
- A High School Diploma
- Substitute teacher certification preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques
- Passion for supporting student learning and achievement

Pay
Salary is determined based on the negotiated agreement: Step 1 with High School Diploma: $15.92
With Associate Degree or Substitute Teacher Certification: $17.48
