Job Summary
The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation seeks a faith-filled part-time paraprofessional for the 2026-27 school year, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Preference is given to individuals with a background in Education or Special Education. This position works with a preschool child with intellectual disability. Job Responsibilities
- Support students in the implementation of individualized learning plans through modified instruction, skill reinforcement, and remedial activities.
- Assist with behavioral interventions and provide real-time coaching to support positive student behavior and learning outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and learning consultant to carry out instructional strategies and accommodations.
- Collect, document, and report student performance and behavioral data as directed.
- Communicate student progress and observations to the classroom teacher and learning consultant in a timely and professional manner.
- Supervise and support students during instructional activities and other assigned times.
- Participate in training and utilize provided resources to effectively support student needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
Job Requirements
- Teaching or instructional support experience preferred but not required.
- Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their academic and social development.
- Ability to follow instructional plans, directions, and guidance provided by teachers and learning consultants.
- Understanding of child development and the needs of the age group being supported.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
