About the role
The Classroom Assistant Paraprofessional will support students with special needs in a classroom setting under the supervision of a teacher.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with daily living skills and academic subjects
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, other paraprofessionals, and school staff to enhance student outcomes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new teaching methods
