Job Details

The District Flagger will utilize their personal vehicle to travel to each assigned work location and will receive a bi-weekly stipend for gas. The District Flagger is responsible for efficiently directing vehicular traffic in designated areas as directed while providing exceptional hospitality services. The District Flagger, when required, is also responsible for upholding sites management teams parking policy and procedures and when required assisting guests with directions and setting up user accounts.

Compensation

Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $17 - $19 per hour.

Work Schedule

The work schedule for this position is PART-TIME HOURS.

  • Assists guests with directions and all other inquiries.
  • Stands while serving guests.
  • Provides information about surrounding area as well as main attractions to guests as needed.
  • Stands at location entrances and flags to attract transient traffic to the location.
  • Effectively positions removeable signage.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record and drug screen. Must have valid Driver’s license. Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Work Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training without a Diploma or GED; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Must be able to read and write Standard English language. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Must be able to write simple correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems. Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed. Customer service experience preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and may be required to run; walk; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
