About the role

The position of District DAC Coordinator for Allen County Schools is designed to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight of the district's Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This position will ensure high-quality DAC programming aligned to workforce needs, while maintaining compliance with all state and federal requirements and maximizing the use of available funding sources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all district Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to ensure alignment with workforce needs and student career pathways.
  • Collaborate with the Allen County-Scottsville High School principal to support, coordinate, and facilitate high-quality CTE programming.
  • Manage and monitor all CTE funding sources, including budget development, expenditures, and alignment of resources to program priorities.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements related to CTE programs, including reporting, documentation, timelines, and program approvals.
  • Cook up and oversee work-based learning opportunities for students, including job shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, and cooperative (co-op) experiences.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with business, industry, and community organizations to expand opportunities for students and strengthen program relevance.
  • Support CTE teachers through coaching, collaboration, and access to resources to ensure high-quality instruction and program implementation.
  • Axecute recruitment, hiring, and retention of qualified CTE staff in collaboration with district and school leadership.
  • Utilize data to monitor program effectiveness, student participation, and outcomes; provide regular reports to district leadership.
  • Cook up and support student career pathway development efforts aligned to district goals and the Profile of a Patriot.
  • Serve as the district liaison for CTE programs with the Kentucky Department of Education and other state agencies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required reports, applications, and documentation necessary to maintain funding and program approval.
  • Collaborate with district and school leadership to support continuous improvement planning for CTE programs.
  • Promote effective communication with students, parents, staff, and community stakeholders regarding CTE opportunities and outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing and communication efforts to increase awareness and participation in CTE programs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, creatively, and collaboratively to achieve the greatest possible outcomes for students.
  • Maintain accurate records and data systems in alignment with district and state requirements.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences as required to support the work of CTE programs.
  • Exhibit positive interpersonal skills and promote a positive image on behalf of Allen County Schools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Master's Degree required; Rank I in administration or leadership preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in education; administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in Career and Technical Education programs preferred
  • Experience with state and/or federal program compliance and reporting preferred
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation preferred
  • Experience in program development and implementation
  • Excellent analytical skills; experience with data collection/analysis and reporting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction; self-motivated
  • Proficient technology skills are essential, including functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Ability to build relationships with business and industry partners
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically and creatively
  • Demonstrates leadership capacity and ability to support and develop staff
