Job Duties
- Leads and directs administrative services including accounting, payroll, financial reporting and jury management.
- Establishes organizational requirements for property and space management and plans office layout, space utilization, and workflow of court administrative activities.
- Sets up and oversees staff responsible for administrative and clerical operations, establishes and refines procedures to ensure efficient workflows and effective administrative systems, coordinates the procurement of equipment and supplies necessary for court operations, and communicates policies, procedures, and essential information to court personnel.
- Prepares and presents budget and grant applications and prepares progress reports.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of personnel and administrative programs to determine requirements for program modification and personnel training, promotion, or reassignment; establishes personnel training programs.
- Directs the development and implementation of court programs to achieve organizational goals.
- Communicates and collaborates with judges, court staff, county officials, attorneys, justice partners, agencies, and the public to ensure effective court operations.
- Plans, organizes, and oversees special projects.
Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in court administration, public administration, business administration, or a related field supplemented by a law degree or master’s degree in judicial, public, or business administration;
- Three years of court administrative experience. Two years’ additional court administrative experience may be substituted for the law or master’s degree requirement.
