District Chef Needed for School Food Service

Full-time day shift position, Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekends for catering events in the Somerset County, NJ area.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and train cooks in each school within the district
- Ensure proper cooking procedures and presentation of food are observed
- Create different menu items while adhering to school food service guidelines (NSLP)
- Place food orders and conduct monthly inventory
- Use personal protective equipment at all times
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
Requirements
- Culinary experience required
- Must be willing to travel within the school district
- Must be able to obtain proper documentation to work in schools
- ServSafe® Certification required
- Experience in catering and satellite preparation required
- K-12 experience a plus
- Chef testing may be given
