Career Summary

District Chef needed for school food service program in the Hackensack, NJ area. Monday through Friday Full time position. Occasional nights and weekend for catering events. Fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

• Culinary experience is required.
• Comfortable with training, and overseeing the kitchen staff.
• Must be willing to travel within the district.
• Chef testing will be given.
• Must be able to obtain proper documentation to work in schools.

Skills

• Experience in catering.
• Experience in satellite preparation.
• K-12 experience a plus.
• Create different menu items while adhering to school food service guidelines NSLP.
• ServSafe® certification required.
• Inventory and quality control.
• Maintain a clean kitchen.
• Follow all safety rules, and ensure all PPE is in use at all times.
