Responsibilities

• Schedule, organize, and direct the warehouse business unit on a daily basis.
• Meet shipping schedules and pick and ship orders accurately.
• Maintain an efficient work rate and oversee equipment and facility maintenance.
• Schedule and oversee the warehouse team, managing flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Use all required computer programs to run the distribution center productively.
• Train and supervise distribution unit employees.
• Ensure compliance with employee safety programs.
• Practice good housekeeping and organization throughout the work area.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by company management.

Requirements

• Prior experience supervising employees preferred.
• Effective communication skills with employees and management.
• Ability to read, write, use a tape measure, and operate a calculator.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Physical ability to lift 40 lb (minimum) up to 75 lb; request assistance for loads over 75 lb.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and push/pull.
• Firm grasp using both hands.
• Capability to work in a warehouse environment with typical physical and environmental conditions.
• Ordinary conversation, hearing, and visual acuity.
• Wear safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and protective gloves when necessary.
