About the role
MCCORMICK & COMPANY, INCORPORATED is seeking a Distribution Technician at their Regional Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS. Reporting to a Crew Lead, this position operates material handling equipment and performs various warehouse duties.
Responsibilities
- Pick/pack/ship all customer orders in a timely manner (as measured by LMS) and accurately
- Operate transporter, stand-up, reach or sit-down fork truck
- Complete paperwork and system transactions according to departmental procedures
- Identify and communicate issues to shift crew leader, warehouse supervisor, team manager
- Attend shift/team meetings and recommend process improvements
- Perform general duties including sanitation and battery changing
- Fills 'shorted' orders, co-labels, exports, and assists with inventory
- Assists with special services as needed
Requirements
- Two years in expanded role in Safety management, Efficiency management, Training management, or Quality management/ OR performs four of seven activity groups
- Basic math, reading, and speaking skills
- GED
- Preferred: Forklift license, SAP Transactions/Process training
Qualifications
- Experience using material handling equipment in a warehouse environment preferred
- Basic MS Windows experience preferred
