This position serves as local/account-specific technical support, reporting into an operational P&L with a dotted line to the corporate deployment team. SuperUser responsibilities may be in addition to a permanent role, such as supervisor. The role acts as a liaison with Information Technology, Implementations, and/or LMS teams on behalf of the account, functioning as an internal consultant for system functionality, performing minor configuration changes, and providing end-user training. Available shift: 1st.
Responsibilities
- Serves as local expert on WMS logic and functionality.
- Provides first-level technical support for site database operations, such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), Labor Management Systems (LMS), etc.
- Regularly checks in with operation/clerical staff to ensure immediate attention for open questions and issues.
- Builds strong working relationships with the operations team.
- Coordinates with regional superuser, Information Technology, and operations to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Participates in new business implementations, including customer integrated testing, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and other duties as needed.
- Serves as an implementation SWAT resource.
- Supports day-to-day warehouse operations while prioritizing tasks based on direction from the regional superuser.
- Maintains, enhances, and expands knowledge to facilitate site systems proficiency.
- Interfaces with Operations staff to review procedures and maximize system efficiencies.
- Provides regular communication to Operations and internal departments regarding operational issues, customer requirements, and account-specific concerns, including analysis, insight, and recommendations.
- Designs, develops, and implements tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases) for ongoing analysis of operational activities such as storage capacities, inventory, and throughput.
- Identifies areas for improvement in service levels, cost reduction, and accuracy.
- Reinforces correct processes with system users, explaining their necessity.
- Interfaces with customers to resolve systems issues and support improvement initiatives.
- Manages aspects of testing, training, deployment, and support for system setup and enhancements.
- Participates in and/or leads continuous improvement projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Logistics, or related field (required).
- Minimum one year of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience (Manhattan WMOS and/or Softeon preferred).
- Minimum one year of related working knowledge in Distribution Operations.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and balance long- and short-term needs.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions, operational needs, and customer requirements.
- Up to 10% domestic travel required based on new business needs.
