Who You Are
Our Distribution Operator 3 in the shipping department is responsible for operating various material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stock, and count merchandise. This position requires basic WMS skills and the ability to cross-train in multiple distribution functions.
Responsibilities
- Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
- Efficiently stock and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
- Loading, unloading, moving, stocking, and staging products and materials using a forklift, reach truck, walkie, or other material handling equipment.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
- Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
- Comply with all OSHA regulations and MSDS standards.
- Report quality variances.
- Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Congduct operations in a manner promoting safety.
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following traveler packet.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, and other fasteners.
- May work on a line or in a cell where tasks and product may vary.
Requirements
- High School or GED recommended
- Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems
- Knowledge of RF Scanner
- Able to push, pull, lift 55 LBS continuously throughout the shift
- CERTIFICATES/LICENSURES/TRAININGS: Must pass and maintain industrial lift truck certification
