About the role
The Johns Manville plant in Jacksonville, FL manufactures polyisocyanurate foam insulation panels for use in roofing systems. This position involves operating a forklift, maintaining housekeeping standards, and supporting team members.
Responsibilities
- Use safe work practices including the use of eye, ear, respiratory and foot protection equipment as needed.
- Show initiative in supporting plant-wide safety by following all safety procedures and policies and reporting hazardous conditions.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, always keeping equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
- Operate a forklift.
- Work as part of a team; relieving and supporting other team members as needed.
- Complete production reporting.
- Ensure department's continuous compliance with all policies, procedures, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Requirements
- Forklift experience, certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- General math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).
- Able to accurately read a tape measure, work instruction, finished product specifications.
- Begginer to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office).
- Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal).
- Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
- The ability to use hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling).
- The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
- The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
- The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
- The ability to reach or work above the shoulder.

Pay
The base hourly rate for this position is $23.87.
Schedule
Your day-to-day schedule is Monday – Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm, with Saturdays as needed.
