Distribution Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift

About the role
The Distribution Operations Supervisor leads operations activities such as picking, loading orders onto trucks, invoicing orders, and completing all necessary paperwork. You will set performance expectations, hold the team accountable, and ensure product safety, employee health and safety, warehouse activities, and transportation where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, including product handling, storage requirements, and developing, implementing, administering, and evaluating policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure proper execution and implementation of policies related to picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Review, complete, and ensure the accuracy of warehouse-related documents and shipments; maintain and report inventory accuracy, aging, and order status.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes, company policies, and regulatory agency standards.
- Train all warehouse personnel on required equipment.
- Make personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
- Perform the same tasks as employees on your team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (typically reflects 3 or more years of relevant experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or experience driving a forklift.
- Previous warehouse management systems experience.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Transportation and logistics experience.
